Templestowe Cemetery, Chapel and Memorial Gardens

The map below will guide you around the cemetery grounds.

In the 1850's it was usual to have areas of cemeteries designated by the various Christian denominations. However in more recent times it is not considered appropriate to divide the community into denominational type and areas of the cemetery were therefore named after people in the community, generally those who were, or still are, Trustees of the cemetery.

While sections may be named a particular denomination it does not necessarily follow that all persons interred in any particular section are, in fact, Christian or of that denomination.
