OVERVIEW 
The RSC4MAC program creates accurate box blank or dieline drawings
of the RSC (Regular Slotted Container) family of corrugated boxes
in the Adobe Illustrator TM format on a Macintosh. This is an invaluable tool for graphic
designers working in the packaging business or for graphic design students.
RSC4MAC can generate drawings
for over 1,300 different pack configurations:
49 Flap Combinations
None, Regular, Part Overlap, Full Overlap, All Flaps Meeting,
All meeting Full Overlap, Flap Gap.
4 Glue Flap Types
Inside, Outside, attached to: Long panel, or Short
panel
7 Flute Types
A, B, C, E, AC, AB, BC
FEATURES
The system has built-in creasing allowances based on industry standards,
however any panel dimension can be entered before saving the finished dieline
file. The Professional version can learn any special allowances that
may be required.
RSC4MAC saves time for the designer by drawing
the box layout or dieline and by automatically adding panel dimensions, there are also options for panel center lines, plate mounting targets
or register marks.
Other features include the 'closed path' perimeter
of the blank so that it can be selected and painted conveniently. Crease
lines are grouped so that redefining 'dash' types is made easy, Center lines
and Dimensions are also grouped for convenient changing of properties.
- The program is available as a US version (Inches as input) or metric.
The US version uses decimal inches in increments of 1/32", the creasing
allowances are also stored in these units.
- Creasing allowances are based on published industry standards combined
with the experience of the author.
- The Professional version allows the layout to be generated with scales
of:
- fixed percentages eg 5%,10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 40%, 50%, 75%, 100%
- scaled to 'fit' a custom sheet size
- a combination of the above.
