The Australian SUNDAY TELEGRAPH 24/11/96 reported:
Australia could "face invasion"
One of the world's leading defence experts has warned that Australia is likely to face an attempted invasion during the next century.
The latest edition of Janes World Armies describes Australia as a "glittering strategic prize".
The forecast by the globally respected military journal follows the release of a survey earlier this month which showed members of the Howard government believe Australia faces security threats from China and Indonesia.
Janes editor Charles Heyman told The Sunday Telegraph Australia had to begin preparing now if it wanted to be able to defend itself.
"It takes years to build up a proper defence posture, but I don't think you have it now," Heyman said from his home in Shropshire, England. "The defence establishment realises what's going on, but I don't think Australians in general give it a high priority.
"The Japanese showed in World War II that it's possible for other people to get close to Australia, but Australians don't realise how lucky they are - how big that piece of land is that they sit on."
In the publication, Heyman says Australia, which ranks 20th among the world's wealthiest nations, has bright economic prospects, with large mineral reserves and sophisticated markets to its north.
"However the country's good fortune also makes it a glittering strategic prize, and it would be surprising if, during the next century, the country's defences were not tested," he says.
The most likely scenario is a civil war somewhere in the region during which huge numbers of people get on boats, ferries and planes and head for Australia, which would not be able to "put them on a train and send them back".
Australian Defence Force chief General John Baker says the Janes analysis is a "warning to be ever vigilant".
TREACHERY
All the fine sentiments expressed by General Baker come to naught. While he makes nice noises to placate us, the Australian government not only endorses the United Nations treaty for the general and complete disarmament of Australia, it is a sponsor of the motion. Ask your politician whether the Australian government on 12/12/95 at meeting 90m of the United Nations, did sponsor and vote for Agenda Item 70, endorsing the "general and complete disarmament of Australia under strict and effective international control".
They endanger us with their defence policies
In 1946 the Australian government put into long term storage 500,000 rifles and Brens to be used if we were invaded. The government at that time had the lessons of the just ended World War clearly in mind. Since then, under the ALP/LIB/NATS these weapons were ALL sold or destroyed (The Australian 31/5/91). The ALP took 100,000 SLRs (Self Loading Rifle), the L1A1, worth $4,000 each and melted them down at B.H.P. (The Australian 14/12/94).
Is this the "vigilance" mouthed by Defence Force chief General John Baker? How can politicians justify such complete destruction of our emergency reserves?
This political intervention leaves the military with 67,000 Steyr rifles and 3,100 riflemen. The design of the Steyr uses plastic in heat critical components such as triggers, hammers and sears. A weapons use directive Order No. 7196-94 has been issued to all army and air force units not to fire more than 90 rounds, or more than nine seconds of automatic fire because the plastic components will melt down. ( The army admitted the heat problem in GUNS AUSTRALIA.)
If we are well armed and defended we will not be attacked. Weapons of destruction, if in our possession need not be used.
The Liberals signed an agreement to totally disarm all civilians, police and military in 1981 (I have a copy). The ALP ratified it in 1983. Then they invited the Indonesians in to train at our jungle training centre. They brought Indonesian generals in to umpire our Kangaroo Exercise where the U.S. staged an invasion from the north. We lost the war games. The Indonesians were the real winners because they saw every truck and every tank, and every tactic we used to counter the mock invasion from the north.
The good news is, we don't have to lose
Did you know it takes ten times as many regular soldiers to control and subdue a force of guerillas? The Swiss have had peace for 150 years, despite having two World Wars rage around them. It is compulsory there for all men under 55 to have a rifle and 100 rounds of ammunition. Hitler avoided invasion of Switzerland despite the lure of the world wealth held in the Swiss banks. He calculated it would require 5,000,000 regulars to defeat the 500,000 armed civilians supporting a tiny regular army. America tried but failed to defeat the Viet Cong.
With 600,000 armed Australians we would be safe. No nation can easily muster 6,000,000 troops. A potential enemy knows this. That is why those who plan wars get our traitors to disarm us. If we allow these traitorous or even gullible well meaning politicians to take the few remaining weapons that could provide the basis for guerilla defence, then we deserve our fate.
On the other hand if we give every volunteer 13 weeks intensive training in first aid, fire fighting, map reading, skill at arms and survival, they might live to old age.
We are almost undefended
The only effective weapons left in Australia to stop the occupation and rape of Australia now lie in private homes. That is they did, until the Howard government's gun control laws called in and recklessly destroyed thousands of weapons.
A gun register is a great asset to any invader. When the Germans went into Poland they did so only after careful preparation. They had their Quislings, under the guise of public safety, register all firearms. When the invasion eventuated, a German officer and the Police Chief, with a copy of the "register", visited every home. They asked for the guns by model and serial number. If the guns were not forthcoming they shot the children first, then the wife. If the guns still did not come out they then shot the man and burnt the house.
A few well meaning gullible people have advocated a Central Gun Repository, where shooters can store their guns and, when they are not upset with the wife and kids, go and draw the gun out for a couple of hours. The Germans pulled this one too. They threw away the key the day before the invasion. The Russians were different. They opened the repositories, took the guns and shot the owners.
This is not a game we play - see Sydney is not safe !
These are the hard cold facts: Indonesia has close to 1,000,000 men under arms if one counts their regulars, irregulars, police and associate groups. They recently bought 1,000,000 AK56 rifles and 70,000,000 rounds of ammunition. They are not going pig shooting. On Greg Cary's program an Australian soldier in this year's war games reported that an Indonesian Colonel was bragging that they were coming back to take Australia. On their maps Australia is identified as New Irian Jaya or South Irian. WHY?
Our government, in one hit, gave the Indonesians $150,000,000 in aid. With this Indonesia bought 39 invasion craft from the East German Navy (media figures, not mine). Since the Keating/Indonesia treaty, the government is reducing our armed forces, supposedly because potential invaders can't use Indonesia as a path to invade. Would it take an impossibly big change in circumstances for Indonesia to become the potential invader ?
Australia's Military Rifle Clubs
As soon as our government found out that there were about 6,000 retired servicemen, reservists and skilled shooters in Australia trained and encouraged to use semi-auto military style weapons Howard and Co. moved to stop this "loophole" in their gun laws. If you think the ALP/DEM/LIB/NATS do not intend us to be totally defenceless perhaps you should ask the pollies why they think it smart to rob Australia of 6,000 potential defenders.
To give you some idea of the total effect on our defence capability I reproduce the figures showing that there were only 3,100 riflemen in the army in 1991. The 6,000 riflemen Howard and Co. are getting rid of represents two thirds of Australia's skilled riflemen.
REGULAR ARMY STRENGTH

430 stewards
1728 technical storemen
241 cartographic techs
3,100 riflemen

Australia must face reality in matters of defence. To rely solely upon a regular army the tiny size of ours is a recipe for certain defeat. It could probably run a pretty good restaurant, but a war???
Lessons from the past
Our army's organisational structure is the means by which traitors in control can turn a winnable war into a loss for us and a cheap victory for any potential enemy. The surrender of Singapore to the Japanese in World War II was a prime example. If the Pommy officers had given the Australian Eighth Division their food stocks, issued the ammunition, and told the Australian Eighth Division to go bush and attack the Japs, the diggers would not have stopped this side of Tokyo. Instead, those in charge meekly surrendered, turning over the thousands under their control to waste away through starvation and disease in prisoner of war camps for the rest of the war. The Japanese despised our army for failing to fight. In that instance, but fortunately not everywhere, our generals snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Irregulars, having no legally enforceable officer structure, would flee rather than accept an order to surrender in their own land. The US War of Independence, Vietnam, Afghanistan and thousands of similar conflicts prove this principle. Guerillas do not present an attackable entity to be overwhelmed.
Our nation was structured, at Federation, so the politicians could not use the military against the people and could not betray the people to a foreign power. Hayden subverted the Constitution to allow the Minister for Defence to take the power without the knowledge or consent of the people. Both major parties are obviously more loyal to the Internationalists than to the people of Australia, and they have plans for Australia that appear not to include the 18,000,000 people living here now.
Don't take our word for it, ask the ALP/DEM/LIB/NAT/GREENS why they are signing international agreements with the most fanatical and aggressive nations on earth for us to disarm. On our behalf they have agreed not to use gas, chemical, biological, nuclear, laser, mines, napalm. That is like King Arthur agreeing not to use archers. Ask the ALP/DEM/LIB/NAT/GREENS what we are to use, if we don't want our youth slaughtered and enslaved.
Tony Pitt issues this challenge to any who doubt the claims made here:
"Find me a pollie or a journo anywhere with the guts to meet me live on camera to publicly refute what I say. LIVE, so they can't selectively edit out what they don't like."
Traitors in government
In the USA, on 4BC, at 5.10, on 10/6/96, to interviewer Connie Lorne, Tim Fischer stated that there would be zero guns in Australia by the year 2000. Why has Tim advertised our vulnerability? In Australia he says it is not the government's intent to totally disarm us. Why two stories ? To be the only unarmed nation in Asia is tantamount to suicide. The UN won't save us. They watched genocide in Rwanda, Bosnia and Cambodia.
We don't have to lose

Janes' Prediction
Janes' is not a prediction based on guesswork. Janes is aware of the preparations for war under way outside of Australia and within.
Who would attack us? One clue came from Mr Sambawaga, spokesman for Indonesia's ruling political party, on The 7.30 REPORT. Talking about Australia objecting to the invasion of Timor and genocide, Mr Sambawaga said that if Australia doesn't shut up "We will attack. Get it?" Within ten seconds, on the same program, Ali Alatas, Indonesia's Minister for Foreign Affairs, said, "Mr Sambawaga certainly reflects the feelings of the parliament and our people."
