The Arcadian Surf Lifesaving Club is situated on the beach at Alma Bay, in Arcadia on Magnetic Island. This beach is located opposite the Arcadian Resort, and is a popular swimming & snorkeling spot for families due to its protection from stingers. The Arcadian Life Saving Club, patrol on weekends and public holidays. There are also public amenities such as BBQ's, playground, changing areas and toilets. Magnetic Island is located 8kms from Townsville in Tropical North Queensland, and is easily accessed via daily car ferry & hourly passenger ferry service.
