welcome , and thank you for visiting our Web site. We do hope
you enjoyed your look at some of our dogs,- both present and past.
Our names are Kath and Barry Marion , and we live in a very pretty
spot called One Tree Hill in South Australia.
Our Treebrook Prefix was established in 1985, and our first foundation
bitch was purchased in 1984 from Nightbeauty kennels in Victoria.
Our second bitch we brought back from Victoria a year later from
the well known Kennels in Australia (Bulwaren) ,her dam being
the well known imported bitch (Ch Rose Queen of Colom (Imp.UK),
(to this day one of the best bitches to be shown in Australia.)
These two bitches were the foundation of our Kennels. We have
litters only occasionally and have bred 23 Champions to date and
shown 4 others to their titles.
Our first Stud dog (Ch Treebrook
Bloodwood) from our first bitches litter went on to sire one of
the biggest winning Bullmastiffs in Australia at that time(Ch
Weilhana Lord Brutus).
In 1997 we had a dual win at
the Victorian Specialty Ch Show, when Ch Treebrook Satin-Wood
(the Mother) won R.Up in show and her son Ch Treebrook Raywood
winning Best in Show, he is also another top winning dog from
the late Ch Treebrook Bloodwood.
In 1998 we were the inaugural
winner of the "Breeders Class Trophy" at the Victorian
Silver Anniversary Specialty Ch Show.
It was the same year on a trip back to England, that we found
our dream puppy with the most astounding head,we later imported
him to Australia, he has been a consistent winner of Best Head
at specialty shows, also doing very well in the show ring especially
under Bullmastiff specialty judges, stating he is extremely good
breed type, his nick- name is "Mega Bucks", his show
name is Aust Ch Bramarley Brook Trees (Imp Uk).(Sadly now deceased)
In 1999 Victoria
held the first National Bullmastiff Specialty Show in Australia,
with our own dog Ch Treebrook River Oak at 17 months of
age, taking out the Runner up trophy in show, an entry of 172
Bullmastiffs, and judged by Mrs Virginia Rowland (Blackslate Kennels)
USA.
We are foundation members and
still members of the Bullmastiff club of South Australia, also
members of the Victorian Bullmastiff club for many years,and members
of the W. A. Bullmastiff club ,QLD club and the NSW club.
All our dogs are hip x-rayed
and scored.
We both currently hold our breed judges license..
In Sep 2006 we both flew to NSW
to judge their 31st Bullmastiff Specialty Show with an entry of
112 Bullmastiffs.
