December Updates

20th of December, 2002

Christmas five days away,

MARRY CHRISTMAS ‘N’ HAPPY NEW YEAR

yet still working and stuff.

Got the new rifle yesterday I have been trying to get since early September. It is a Ruger Mk77 chambered in .22 LR and is stainless synthetic, the reason I wanted that one is it has a really cool stock that isn’t made anymore. It fires really well and is more accurate than I expected.

Also got a new sports exhaust (fully sick) for the commodore. The boyz at Turbo exhaust centre at wetherill park, Ph 97561163 done a really good job. It is a 2 ½ inch mandrel bent, Extractors high flow cat n res and a VT chrome tip (whatever all that means) and the commo now goes like a and sounds like a V8.

13th of December, 2002

What a crazy time of year.

Have finished the TAFE exams, Christmas is only 11 days away and also my birthday which is the 26th I will be 20 year old. I am so old.

Have been too a mad site today called www.woglife.com.au it is a funny site for all the fully sick bros.

Fires have been really bad. I was on the way home on Tuesday when they were starting and I got stuck on a little back road. The flames were touching the car but that is nothing when I noticed a house burning down. You can’t help but feel bad when things like this happen. Then Wednesday I was stuck up the central coast till that Sunday. Lucky I was working up there so I had something to do.

I went to a Listener party put on by. It was Number 4, I had the best time ever.

http://www.961.com.au/happy_snaps.asp is the link to some of the photos

Thanks to mandy and grant for taking me. Killing heidi was really good.

November Updates

13th of November, 2002

I have been thinking about what else I can do to this site. And I have drawn a blank. What is interesting to put on a web site. If anyone can think of something then email me tristancook@bigpond.com . As far as updates the problem is internet speed. It would be cool to have a high class site lots of animation and music and downloads but who ever has time to wait for sites to upload when they take to long you just move on. So what I am asking is do you let sites upload or not. Answer in my guest book if you like.

10th of November, 2002

Hot and Hot the temp is way to high to be outside so I guessed I would update some stuff on the site. Things seem to be breaking on my lately as I ran over my $300 Oakley sunglasses when riding my bike and also I smashed up the bottom of my car (crushed the exhaust) yet again going a back road to a job up the coast. Not my luck this week. I have but PASSED my pistol license only to find out most pistols will be banned anyway. The license was hard but it is good as it would be dangerous if someone was not competent with a handgun. I have now got to participate in a competition event every two months minimum. Which I don’t mind as it is what I wanted to do.

Remember Christmas is only around the corner

2nd of November, 2002

Today was a killer of a ride on the new mountain bike. I must have already done a hundred clicks on it all ready. I had to clean it too, not that it is a bad thing. Good exercise. The updates should get better if I ever have the time. Here is a picture of the bike by the way.

1ST of November, 2002

Well Christmas is getting closer and things are warming up. Life is pretty good at the moment, on my fifth week in my pistol license course (it is not as easy as I expected) my hand is healed work is good I am almost out of debt work is cool and I have just got my new mountain bike. I will have to put a photo up of it. It is not bad front shocks and really cool motocross style rear mono shock. I have ridden like heaps and I have only had it a few days. It is so comfy to ride and I pound the suspension riding over rocks and stuff. I hope this one don’t get stolen like the last ones (4 that is).

October Updates

16th of October, 2002

Well I have been doing a bit on the site as always, and I have also got a new monitor. A nice big 19 inch screen with a very good resolution love it, Lots better than a little 14 inch from 1992. I am also involved in competition pistol shooting, doing 5 weeks training. Costing a few bucks and it is like classes with tests and regulations as to how to become a member. Is a bit hard with a broken hand but is ok and booked class like months ago so don’t want to miss out. I would like to say my thoughts go out to all the people involved in the Bali bombings, I have been reading about it in the Sydney Morning Herald www.smh.com.au and it is just overwhelming.

1st of October, 2002

It is a weekday that I am updating this site I know but I have the time so I guessed I would. I have the time since I have broken my right hand. I have had my mate Ryan over and he has been helping with the website (the triple h club anyway). I have stopped putting so many photos on this front page so not to hold your computer up with photo downloads. Anyway enjoy.

September Music CD’s

Word of October was:

SONIC:

Is

1. Having to do with sound waves.

Or

2. Having to do with a speed approximating that of the propagation of sound.

Movie Review of October:

Don’t expect much of a review system.

xXx

Vin Diesel stars as former extreme sports athlete Xander "XXX" Cage, notorious for his death defying public stunts. Betting he can succeed where other conventional spies have failed, Xander is recruited by NSA Agent Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson) to become a different kind of undercover agent. Enlisted for a dangerous covert mission, he must use all his extreme skills to combat a clever, organized, and ruthless enemy far beyond the scope of his experience. A movie I liked and was full of action loved the moto cross bike’s. Also had fast cars and an extreme nature about it. I didn’t find it believable enough or felt strong in a way the you remember it.

Also I hear the sound track cd is pretty good too.

Blackhawkdown

Starring Josh Hartnett ,Ewan McGregor ,Tom Sizemore.

Based on actual events, Black Hawk Down is the heroic account of a group of elite U.S. soldiers sent into Mogadishu, Somalia in October 1993 as part of a U.N. peacekeeping operation. Their mission: to abduct several top lieutenants of the Somali warlord, Mohamed Farah Aidid, as part of a strategy to quell the civil war and famine that is ravaging the country. Young Rangers and veteran Delta Force soldiers must fight side by side against overwhelming odds. For 18 harrowing hours, they remain trapped and wounded in the most hostile district of Mogadishu until a rescue convoy can be mounted to retrieve them. Outnumbered and surrounded, tensions flare, friends are lost, alliances are formed and soldiers learn the true nature of war and heroism. Eighteen U.S. soldiers and more than 500 Somalians were killed as a result of this conflict.

A movie I watched in DVD and one that is very much a long and graphic one. It shows the harsh reality of peace keeping and war. It is a quality movie and respects the people it portrayed.

September Updates

8th of September, 2002

Today a bit of 4 wheel driven was done. I was picked up and we explored a small part of the Wollemi national park. The legendary Land cruiser and the go anywhere Hilux 4x4 2.8L were used for the afternoon trip. Setting off and relaxing (well I was) and enjoying the countryside waiting for a good spot to have the first stop (lunch). The weather was nothing better than perfect.

Josh and his luxy (he looks so proud)

Here is Ryan’s the cruiser pushing

 ground clearance to the limit!!!!!

 So much for the underbody.

Josh making the hill look like a bump in

the road with the super high luxy.

(mind you he had a good look under the body)

The view from the lunch venue was cool.

With the valleys green again only after

being burnt to a crisp 9 months ago.

Ryan and Kristy still having lunch on the rock

Josh giving me a big goodbye kiss at the

end of the day (mistaken me for Kristy)

This is the view in the cruiser climbing a rocky track in 2wd.

(hill’s never bigenough for ryan and the cruiser)

Josh as always driven in the best way he knows how.

(this was a calculated sideways skid and with a lot of room)

The second stop to have a chat about not

much at all and all about nothing.

Don’t ask where we were cos no one knows.

The view when driving on one of the better tracks.

Much too easy for the 4wd boyz liken.

5th of September, 2002

Well this is the start of something that I hope will turn out to be more than a collection of useless crap.

My associates and I will hopefully provide an informative database (site) about hunting, camping, and outdoor related equipment. Weather it be equipment, stories, experiences, and even hopefully a collection of our firearms. A following of trips, and people in the group. That is for the Triple HHH club anyway.

3rd of September, 2002

Well time has been fighting. Hopefully I will have more time on my hands now that I get Sundays off yippy. Not to say I haven’t liked working weekends at a very good egg farm. I become used to it. So I should be able to make a few improvements and remember if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them e-mail me at tristancook@bigpond.com.

21st of August, 2002

Sorry for the wait but I have such a hasty lifestyle. I will hopefully revise the site more often once I have finished the main structure of the site. That’s if I ever finish. This site was inspired by a book called “produce your own website” by next handbooks. It is ok if you want to spend years learning .HTML languages, I don’t have the time so a slap bang site like this will have to do.

The construction of a second site is also in order. A Hunting and camping web site will slowly be built on a stand alone section of my website until it is ready to run on its own. It will involve many of my acquaintances or should I say buddies, pals, bro’s, mates etc.

Thus separating my personal site from hopefully a to be hunting/firearms club.

Relating to the study of the dynamics of projectiles.

Relating to projectiles, their motion, or their effects.

 Movie Review of September:

Don’t expect much of a review system.

Watched in cinema at good old Penrith.

Sydney - 1969. Crime is cool, cops are crooked and 20 bucks buys you a whole night out. For Barry (Bryan Brown), life is sweet. He runs the girls, the clubs and the illegal casinos, and not even crooked Detective Ray (Sam Neill) dares to stand in his way.
Barry's wife Sharon (Toni Collette) wears the pants, his mistress Margaret (Kestie Morassi) wears him out and his wide-eyed nephew Darcy (Sam Worthington) is learning just how cosy business can be.

When the Mafia dispatch two Chicago hoods (John Goodman, Felix Williamson) to muscle in on his action, Barry's life takes a dramatic turn. His mistress starts making eyes at Darcy, his wife becomes suspicious and the Yanks won't take no for an answer - BIG MISTAKE.
Barry decides to give the Yanks a lesson in outback hospitality.

Good movie for me anyway. Everything I wanted in an Aussie film. Well good because of the good Australian feel it had. (hunting)

The DVD collectors edition

Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), and Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) face the prospect of - shock, horror - graduating a virgin. Losing IT, or scoring, is the prime objective, but how to do that is fraught with risk and impediment. A choirgirl, Heather (Mena Suvari), Kevin's long time girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid), Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth), a foreign exchange student, are all likely scores, while Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) is a source of worldly wisdom. And there is no easy score . . . and when it does come to the crunch, strange things happen to the would-be Casanovas.

This movie is Funny as, not for under age viewers. Nothing like a good American teen flick.
