This section of the
website is my favourite as it is about my mates. What you see written here is by
Ryan so any problems talk to him. He is, I would call my best mate but that is
not to say anyone else is less of a mate. And as far as photos if you can give
me a better one then I will replace it.
The
picture says it all. This is well, we will call him, say, Mick that’s it. Yeah
Mick the bush cook, fairdinkum Dundee can cook up a storm with very little time
and supplies on hand. His marksmanship leaves a bit to be desired though. Other
than that Dundee can really hang in there when it gets rough and dusty in the
early hours of the drought stricken bush near Brewarrina. The first time Dundee
accompanied us to the property we did have a disagreement but has been since
been solved following his purchase of his OWN SWAG!
Personal equipment as follows: 1982 Hilix 4WD, Swag 7ft,
Bush Kitchen, Goats, Ruger stainless synthetic chambered in .243Win running
Tasco World class optics, CBC Rifle chambered in the good old 22LR and he is a
hairy bugger.
The
Wog, born and bred in Marsden Park NSW.(and you would think he would look
Aussie). We will call this bloke Zooby. The shotty king, if he can’t hit it no
one can. Zooby has a tendancey to just come out with the funniest things at the
worst times, it’s good actually because it keeps us sane when sleep is an
option. He has only really started coming hunting with us in the last 3 months
or so, but gets along with the crew, and can pull of some magical driving over
stubble after mobs of pigs. (I will tell you about how we learnt not to trust
gears in the hand of another bloke soon) Equipment as follows: Swag 8ft, hat,
undies, bread, water, Berretta 682GoldE fixed choke 12ga uo shotgun with
invectors, ejectors and a berretta exclusive optima chrome bore. (Oh and his
berretta trap vest RRP $280)
This
character we call him Budgie Bomb. Budgie Bomb, Budgie bomb what do you see,
why I think it’s the branch of an oncoming tree. This is the baby of our group
who only made his debut in pig hunting out west in June 2002. We actually had a
good time with him till we nearly wiped the poor fella out when driving though
thick scrub on the Northern end of the property we stay at. Other than that the
crew won’t be the same in the future if he didn’t come out with us. All in all
a top bloke (Aren’t we all)
Equipment as follows: White billabong hat that changes
colour! Fully sick lowered Hilux ute, Ruger Stainless synthetic chambered in
.243Win Running tasco World class optics.
Now
where do we start this is my best mate and mate am I gonna give him a wrap!
Cooka good old fella he is. Let’s get this right from the start He gets a gun I
get one better, I get a gun he gets one better we are competing each other all
the time and we love it but when we get out west where the rain don’t fall its
porkers, porkers porkers. Cooka the legend takes pigs out with his teeth if he
has too. This bloke does’nt believe any firearm with a bore diameter less than
a half an inch is adequate to blow the pants of porkers, I am telling you he
hates the things. If you are out with Cooka in the bush with no food,no worries
out come the skittles or you need a piece of string he has got it, he would
have to be the best prepared out of all of us. Equipment as follows: Gamo
Hunter 1250 in .177 pushing slug velocities up to 1250fps, Winchester Model 94 11 shot Lever
Action gold plated commemorative special Chambered in 44-40, Boito S/S 20”
Nickel Plated 12ga (That’s the one he spends a fortune on putting solids
through!) Pig sticking knife, Water bottle, skittles, first aid kit,
binoculars,

The members of our group of hunting buddies is as follows:
