Banana Prawn ( Penaeus merguiensis)

Banana Prawn (Penaeus merguiensis) is one of prawn species farmed in Australia and south-east Asia.

We sell Banana Prawn (Penaeus merguiensis) postlarvae as "PL10" (10 days old postlarval), which is about 21 days from the spawning depend on temperature. At this stage its length will be greater than 7mm.

For long distance travel, we pack the "PL10" in oxygenated plastic bag with seawater and then box them in foam box with a bag of ice to keep them cool. We normally pack 10,000 "PL10" per box depend on traveling time.

For short distance travel, we put "PL10" in a transporter tank fitted with oxygen or air supply and then truck them to the farm.
