Our Club is a new fledging flying site over looking the beautiful Yass area. We have no formal flying here, although, some of our members do standoff scale and others do gliding. Our Club is a non-profit organization that fosters all types of radio control model plane flying. Our flying field is 7km out of Yass (30 minutes from Canberra) and boasts a flat 200-metre airstrip, which will be sealed in the near future. All members who fly here are very approachable.
If you are visiting us at the field, please feel free to bring a model and experience what flying in Yass is really like. We do a lot of training for new comers and this is one of our main stays. The Club conducts friendly competitions from time to time and usually a bush B.B.Q. afterwards. We generally fly on Saturdays and Sundays but some members fly during the week too. The weather at our Bango lane airfield is the same as Wagga Wagga conditions, generally fine with light Westerlies. The airstrip runs East/West.
We always look forward to seeing new faces at our field. To find out more about our Club, please click on the contacts link.
