"Allison", home of the Ulverstone Golf Club Inc., is an 18-hole 6104 metre long Par 72 Championship Golf Course with many trees and a varied and challenging layout.

Rated in the top 100 courses in Australia, the Club has hosted both state and national competitions.

The Australian Golf Union recognised the Allison layout as a National venue with the Club chosen to conduct the Interstate Teams Championships in September 2001.

To date we have staged two Tasmanian Open Men's Championships, the first from 18th - 20th February 2000, and most recently from 22nd - 24th February 2002. The Tasmanian Women's Golf Championship was conducted here in 2002 and 2005.

Nestled into the surrounding tall eucalypt forest, the course is renowned for its well-maintained, fully watered fairways and excellent greens.

One of the most picturesque sporting venues in the state, it is a challenging golf course, with plenty of trees and undulating fairways to provide an unyielding test of the golfer's ability.

Open daily, visiting members of other golf clubs are always welcome. Green fees apply and golf clubs are available for hire.

Competition days are Tuesday (members); Wednesday (lady members); Thursday (members and veterans, with mixed "Chicken Run" during the daylight saving period); Saturday (members and lady members); Sunday (mixed).
