Troubleshooting:
Please send bug reports to the address below.
Please also include the 'error_log.txt' file found in your Windows/Solaris_7 folder, together with a description of your system. Before mailing with bug reports, please ensure you have the latest video driver for your graphics card, together with the latest Direct X runtime library installed. Out of date drivers are one of the main causes of malfunctions in 3d programs such as Solaris 7.

Known Issues:
- Exits to desktop on monitor powerdown - harmless but annoying.
- About box bitmap doesn't render in Win2000. Why?
- Sometimes the intro title explodes before completion. I actually like this.
- Some Radeon and GeForce 3 cards don't enjoy the Hardware TnL device.
Release History:
July 09 2001 - Version 1.06 beta
- Fixed program icon (true colour version had been causing heap overflow)
July 23 2001 - Version 1.06
- Renamed the saver 'Solaris 7' as 'Firestorm' was taken.
- Changed associated bitmaps, and intro title as appropriate.
- Brightened the basic particle type
July 25 2001 - Version 1.07
- Changed intro title to begin draw from a random position in the z distance
July 26 2001 - Version 1.08
- Altered the doctor tunnel. I was never happy with the original and, basically, I'm still not happy with this one. This one is more simplistic, less CPU instensive, and has a flashing central light.
- Removed the uninstall shortcut from the Programs menu as it was causing a Windows ME install error. Why?
July 31 2001 - Version 1.09
- The GeForce 3 and certain Radeon cards are displaying neon whiteouts in the Hardware TnL setting. Included a menu option to manually deselect TnL.
August 3 2001 - Version 1.1
- Set Hardware TnL to OFF by default.
- Took the planets back out of the Z render queue, so the debris no longer moves behind them.
- Permitted Asteroids, but not debris, to impact on the centre of the screen.
- Modified the Runtime/Error Log to output current settings.
April 21 2002 - Version 1.2
- Updated installer to work under WinXP
- Fixed the "mystery of the missing asteroid" bug
