Pets of Vivace

Bustopher Jones: our beloved companion for over 17 years. He passed on to Rainbow Bridge in June, 1998. He was a real character, like many ginger cats! Unafraid of dogs, he ruled any neighbourhood we lived in. We think of him often, with a smile and a tear.

We do like our ginger cats! Here is Lucy at age 2. We adopted her at age 3 months. She and Bustie adored one another, true sweethearts.

We also lost our dear Lucy in October, 2001, age 12, due to an untreatable cancer. It is a nice thought that perhaps Lucy and Bustie could be reunited....

She was very much loved by the humans and cats in the household.

Twice as nice! To keep us company, we found 2 Somali litter brothers from Biegatti Cattery - Biegatti Tomalak Mau and Biegatti Sarek Mau born 10/3/98 - quite correctly advertised as adorable!

and they grew up into gorgeous adult cats

Grand Premier Tomalak (Pom Pom). He loves to climb into jumpers (while I am wearing them) and snuggle in winter. He is top cat in the household, and rules with great wisdom and is tough, but fair!.

and Sarek (below) with gorgeous richly coloured fur and eyes. He has had a very successful show career, now a Gold Double Grand Premier, and was highest scoring Foreign Shorthair desexed cat in 2000, and runner up in 1999! US judge Kim Everett said while judging him that he was “ a fantastic Somali… my Somali with the gorgeous eyes….”

Bronze Double Grand Premier Lovok joined the family in 1999. He has the same parents as Pom Pom and Sarek (namely Ikati Ariki Mau x Bikabu Ms Adorable Fox). Also called Sausage, his main passions in life are fishing toys and yoghurt. He is also very fond of the ladies – especially if they are from the Ikati cattery!

 Vivace Leroy Brown

A very special guy. Leroy was from our first litter, and made up his mind that he was going to stay. He loves playing with ice – he has a very enquiring mind and is interested in the ways of science. His favourite element is water, in all its liquid, frozen and gaseous forms. He has taught us both to play “fetch” He also has appointed himself teacher of the little kittens in the house – and will even act as “Mum” if the kittens ask nicely!

Vivace Moonage Daydream (Daisy) and his daughter Vivace Moonlight Lady. Daisy has retired after siring one litter of 2 daughters with Liza. He loves playing with kittens and we will show him as a neuter as he is a great ambassador for Somalis! He has the most dazzling green eyes.
