This kernel is the `update' kernel for SuSE 9.2, it is available from the SuSE FTP site's e.g. ftp.gwdg.de. It can be patched with a modified Win4Lin patch (see download directory or the forum post by Marc Lavergne). In particular, note that mki-adapter26 patch 1.3.8 seems to work. mki-adapter26 1.3.9 patch is faulty anyway, but even 1.3.10 does not seem to work.
Remember to set REGPARM (use register arguments) and PREEMPT (pre-emptible kernel) options off. Both these options are found in `Processor type and features'. Also turn on the subfs option (in File Systems, above the automounter and CD/DVD filesystem support). There are a few other options to set, but they are described in the Netraverse/Win4Lin documentation.
Reportedly, kernel 2.6.8 has some problems with the way it handles Samba shared drives. This problem is reportedly fixed from kernel version 2.6.10.
