This is auto-detected. You still need to configure the network via YAST.
If you set the network address manually (instead of using `automatically assigned address' via DHCP), then you also need to set the nameserver addresses and gateway address manually. I use BigPond (Telstra) Internet, so my nameservers are 139.134.5.51 and 134.134.2.190.
