Most medical problems can be handled initially by your family doctor or
paediatrician who may refer you to a specialist for further treatment and advice.
Below is a list of some of the medical problems that you may experience
with a child with Angelman Syndrome and the medical specialty that caters for that area.

Early childhood (0-2 years)

Assistance and program support in the form of a behaviour intervention program can be
provided by a Behaviour Intervention Support Team (BIS Team), ask for further information
from the Department of Human Services. The team is made up of specialists such as
