Racing is life! Anything that happens before or after, is just waiting! - Steve McQueen, Le Mans (1971)

Next to the FIA Formula 1 Safety Car (Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG) at the Australian Grand Prix 2002.

Greetings from Melbourne... Home of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix! My name is Kevin and I am a doctor practising in Intensive Care and Anaesthesia in one of Melbourne's private hospitals. Besides Intensive Care and Anaesthesia, I also have an interest in the Emergency Management of Severe Trauma. This has allowed me to participate in one of my passions, Formula 1, as a volunteer doctor for the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

I chose the name Weltmeister in honour of my favourite Formula 1 driver, Michael Schumacher, who is now a 7 times world champion (1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004). Weltmeister is World Champion in German. Other current Formula 1 drivers I like are Ralf Schumacher, Jenson Button, Kimi Raikkonen and Mark Webber. Past drivers include Alain Prost and Mika Hakkinen.

I am also a car enthusiast, particularly a fan of German engineered cars like BMW and Mercedes-Benz, with Ferrari the exception. I also collect model cars, particularly Formula 1 models.

Please feel free to sign my guestbook or e-mail me with any comments. Thank you for visiting Weltmeister and happy surfing. Cheers... Kev.
