On Monday 14 November 2005, I was fortunate to have a day off work
and I went to the 2006 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix Launch at
Federation Square in Melbourne City. The launch was to formally begin at
midday but I arrived a half hour early, just in time to see Mark
Webber's photo shoot in Sir Stirling Moss' 1956 Maserati. I managed
to meet Mark after the shoot and he graciously signed
3 A4 size photos for me. Here's a photo
of Mark signing autographs for his fans during the launch. By the
way, that's Tara Moss next to him. All the very best next year Mark!

The Formula 1 season is almost over with the last race tomorrow in
Shanghai. Hopefully both Raikkonen and Montoya can defeat the Renaults
to win the constructors' championship for Team McLaren.

website. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sid from 2001 to
2004. He's a true Formula 1 legend who has done so much for the safety
of motor sport and therefore deserves this ultimate recognition. Kindly

finally won. That McLaren Mercedes is super fast.

Last weekend, I volunteered for the 2005 Foster's Australian Grand Prix,
my 6th year as part of the medical team. I was again based at Pitlane Exit and this time,
I was
fortunate to meet a few drivers including Michael Schumacher, Kimi
Raikkonen, Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello and Mark Webber. I also
managed to get a few autographs this year. Check them out in my F1
