Signed F. Lugerth, dark-green patina, mounted on green-veined marble base.

The unusually slung belt which became a modesty shield, sometimes required by the commissioning body, was first created by A. Brütt with his fountain-statue Roland which he exhibited at the Grossen Berliner Kunstausstellung of 1909.

Patina and mounting screw were restored by Alan Crawford in 1998
